Right now, Bettermode has great ways for large groups of people to communicate, and there are DMs for 1:1 conversations, but it's not easy for a smaller group of 3-10 people to form a "mini group" on the platform.
With a group that size, the natural solution would be the ability to create a chat group so that the group members can coordinate with each other outside of a larger group or community-wide forum.
Group chat would be a great way to provide a "full stack" of communication options in Bettermode, from hundreds of people commenting in a shared forum to a small group chatting with each other.
