At the moment, Bettermode does not offer a built-in way to restrict file or video downloads once they’ve been uploaded to your community. If a file or video is attached to a post, members with access to that post can also download the attachment.

A few important notes:

Video uploads (e.g. .mp4 files) are served through standard URLs, and while there's no visible download button in the player, tech-savvy users can still access or save the video using browser tools.
File attachments (like PDFs, images, and documents) include a visible download link by default.
You can inject custom JavaScript/CSS using the \"Custom code snippet app\" to hide right-click or download prompts, but this only deters casual users and isn’t fully secure, and requires you to fully craft it on your own.

What you can try:

If you're running a paid community and need tighter control over content:

Host sensitive content externally on a platform that supports access restrictions (e.g., Vimeo Pro/Plus, Wistia, Google Drive with permission control).
Embed the content into your Bettermode posts using an HTML or Rich Text block or video embed link.
Avoid using the native file upload option for paid or restricted content.

This way, you can control who views or downloads the file, and even revoke access when needed.
