We’ve been experiencing a high volume of spam activity on our community forum, with bots attempting to publish dozens of malicious posts each day. Thankfully, Bettermode’s moderation system automatically flags most of these posts, although a few still manage to get through.
The bigger issue we’re facing is that even when spam posts are flagged and removed, the tags created by these bots remain visible to all users. This loophole is being exploited, and we’re now seeing dozens of spam tags being created daily. Managing and deleting them has become increasingly burdensome.
I’ve tried removing these tags via the CMS model, but they don’t seem to appear there — only when creating a new post.
Is there a way to disable tag creation for users or remove the tagging feature entirely?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
