That’s a great question, and you’re right to ask, because this kind of notification can be super helpful for onboarding workflows or welcoming new members.

Just to add to what our long-time partners have contributed here, there isn’t currently a built-in notification that triggers when a new member joins. No admin alerts, no system post, and nothing in the default notification center, so you’re not missing a hidden setting.

What you can do instead:

Zapier-based workaround (Pro plan required)
If you're on the Pro plan and have access to the Zapier integration, you can:
- Use the “New Member Joined” trigger from the Bettermode Zapier app
- Set it to send a Slack message, email, or even post a welcome message in a space
This gives you full control over how and where you're notified when someone joins.
Manual review via the Member list
- Go to Menu › Administration › People › Members
- Sort by Newest to see recent signups
- Not ideal for real-time alerts, but still useful if you're checking regularly
