Is there any update on when "polls" will be available? Feels like it's been on the roadmap for quite some time now... In the meantime, what are people's favorite poll apps to embed? Thanks!

While the Polls feature is yet to be released, there are some embeddable options that you can explore to create polls in your community such as PollSights.
If you are looking to create and embed surveys, options like Jotform, Google Forms, and Typeform could be also a good option. Google Forms for example, can show results after a member has voted for an option.
We have also seen a lot of communities that have adopted the "LinkedIn method", where you collect responses based on reactions to the post. For example:

Bettermode uses iframely to embed and as long as it is embeddable with iframely, it should work and can be posted in the composer. You can test the links that are embeddable and find out the reason for any error by doing a URL test here.
