The ability to customize post types to have custom fields allows admins Bettermode to tailor the content they are creating to fit the needs of their community, and better organize and manage their content. For example, if an admin wants to add options to the status field of their "Question" post type to have additional statuses, they can do so by adding additional options to the status field. More fields could also be added such as text, checkbox, date, image, or any other type of input, depending on the needs of the community.
