Polls are a powerful new way to engage your community and gather direct feedback in real time. Whether you’re sparking a fun conversation or collecting input to guide product decisions, polls make it easy to turn passive readers into active participants.
Built directly into the Composer, this feature enables you to create simple, multiple-choice polls that can be embedded inside any post. From casual questions to strategic insights, polls help you make more dynamic and interactive content.
Note: Polls are currently in beta, and functionality may change as the feature evolves.
How to Create a Poll:
Start by creating a new post. This can be any CMS model/post type depending on your preference.
Inside the Composer, access the poll option using either method below:
Click the ⚡ (Thunderbolt) icon to open the Composer menu, then select Poll.
Or type /poll in the content area and click on the Poll option that appears.
A pop-up window will appear prompting you to set up your poll.
Under the Details tab:
Add your poll question.
Enter between 2 and 10 answer choices.
Use the trash icon beside any answer to remove it if needed.
Switch to the Settings tab to customize how your poll behaves:
Selection limit: Choose between single-choice or multiple-choice voting.
Voting start time: Set it to begin immediately or schedule it for later.
Voting deadline: Set a closing time, or leave it open-ended.
Once finished, click Create poll and continue writing the rest of your post around it.
To add another poll, go to a new line and repeat the steps using /poll or the Thunderbolt icon.
When your post is ready, publish as usual; your poll will be embedded and visible within the content.

Q: Can I add more than one poll in a single post?
A: Yes! Simply go to a new line in the Composer and insert another poll using the Thunderbolt menu or /poll command.
Q: Who can create polls?
A: Polls can currently be created only by site admins and space admins (within their respective spaces) while the feature is in beta.
Q: Can I edit a poll after publishing the post?
A: You can edit a poll only if no one has voted yet. Once any option has been selected by a member, the poll becomes locked and can no longer be changed. However, poll authors may still reschedule or extend a poll at any time, even after voting has started.
Q: Will I see who voted?
A: Votes are anonymous. Results are shown as totals only, without revealing individual voter identities.
