Suspending a member's account

As an admin, you can suspend a member's account to terminate their access to your site temporarily or permanently.

What happens when you suspend a member

When you suspend a member:

• The system logs them out immediately.
• They cannot log back in to the site.
• The site keeps their posts as is.
• The system removes them from search results.
• They stop receiving notifications from the site.
• You can revoke the suspension at any time.

How to suspend a member

You have two options:

Option 1: Suspend from a member's profile page

1. Log in with your admin account.
2. Navigate to the member's profile page.
3. Click the three-dot menu (...) in the top-right corner.
4. Select Suspend member.

Option 2: Suspend from the Administration page

1. Log in with your admin account.
2. Go to Administration > People > Members.
3. Search for the member.
4. Click the three-dot menu (...) next to their name.
5. Select Suspend member.

Option 3: Bulk suspend multiple members

1. Log in with your admin account.
2. Go to Administration > People > Members.
3. Use the Add filter option to select multiple members at once.
4. Click Actions to suspend all selected members.
