Introducing the All-New Administration Panel 2.0

We've been heads-down building and today I'm beyond excited to pull back the curtain.

The Bettermode Administration Panel has been completely reimagined, and it's the most significant upgrade to the admin experience we've ever shipped. This move will simplify your life and pave the way for our AI-first administration, which is about to come.

We're hosting a live walkthrough on Monday, April 13 at 2:00 PM ET where we'll demo everything in the new panel and take your questions. Don't miss it, register below!

Let me walk you through what's changing and, more importantly, why.

Three Dedicated Modes. Zero Confusion.

If you've ever felt like administration, design, and moderation tasks were all tangled together — you're not alone. We heard you, and we fixed it.

The new panel introduces three distinct modes, each purpose-built for the work you need to do:

  • Administration Mode: Manage settings, members, integrations, and everything that keeps your community running.

  • Design Mode: Customize layouts, themes, branding, and visual elements without wading through admin settings.

  • Moderation Mode: Review flagged content, manage reports, and keep your community healthy. All in a focused, distraction-free workspace.

Each mode gives you a dedicated space so you can focus on one job at a time, without tools and options from other workflows getting in the way.

Always Know Where You Are! New Breadcrumb Navigation

We're introducing a breadcrumb navigation bar across the entire admin experience. At any point in time, you'll know exactly where you are, which space you're in, and how to get back.

No more getting lost three levels deep in a settings menu. Context is always one glance away.

Design Mode: A Dedicated Canvas for Customization (Desktop)

Design Mode on desktop gets its own dedicated screen with significantly more room for the live preview, powered by a new tree view navigation on the side. This means you can navigate your site structure while seeing exactly how your changes look — all in one view.

On top of that, all Site Appearance menus are now consolidated in one place. Themes, colors, typography, layouts — everything you need to shape how your community looks and feels is right there, no jumping between screens.

Switch Between Communities in Seconds

Managing multiple communities? You no longer need to jump to a separate panel to switch between them. The new panel lets you switch communities right from where you are instantly, without losing your place.

It's a small change that saves a massive amount of time for anyone running more than one community.

Everything Front and Center. No More Deep Menus.

One of the biggest frustrations we've heard is that critical settings were buried deep inside Designer Studio menus. In the new Administration Mode, we've pulled all of those settings out of the depths and into clear, organized tabs right in front of you.

What used to take five clicks now takes one. What used to be hidden is now obvious.

General Settings, Centralized and Solidified

We've completely reworked the General Settings experience with a consistent, unified design. Every setting now has more room to breathe — more space for the functions that matter, laid out in a way that makes everything easy to find at a glance.

No more hunting across scattered menus. It's all centralized, cleanly organized, and built with a design language that feels cohesive from top to bottom.

Mobile-Ready Admin Experience

And finally, all of this is mobile-responsive (Not yet to the quality that we want it to be, but you can manage your communities on the fly.). Whether you're managing your community from your desk or on the go from your phone, the new admin panel adapts beautifully.

Moderation queue on your morning commute? Quick setting change from your tablet? It all just works now.

What's Next

This is just the beginning. The new Administration Panel lays the foundation for a faster, smarter, and more intuitive management experience, and we have a lot more planned on top of it.

We can't wait for you to try it.

As always, your feedback shapes what we build. Let us know what you think.
