As I've mentioned, this week is all about apps, and today I'm super excited to announce our all-new Hotjar integration 🎉 Hotjar will be one of the first apps that we'll be open-sourcing as well!
Hotjar is a website heatmap and behavioral analytics software that offers a visual way to discover, collect, and communicate user needs.
This integration enables Hotjar to record member behavior, and collect member attributes and their activities in the form of events. Using the data collected by Hotjar, community admins can get full visibility of member activities inside the community.
Attributes allow you to filter session recordings and target feedback collection tools using these attributes. Similarly, events sent from the community based on member activities help with filtering of recording and heatmap data. Hotjar’s feedback tool can also be targeted using event data.

Heatmaps:Â Visualize member behavior by looking at clicks, browsing patterns, and scrolling activity. This enables your team to understand the community usage pattern and uncover areas to improve the community experience.
