Post Bulk Actions

Released on 26 May 2023

We noticed many community admins are spending time individually to manage posts – moving them, tagging, and changing authors – a task that seemed laborious and time-consuming!

We wanted to make this process more efficient and make your community management experience more convenient. That’s why we released Post Bulk Actions!

Using Post Bulk Actions is straightforward. Navigate to your 'Post list' from Administration and you’ll see options to filter and manage posts in various ways, such as by type, author, or tags.

From here, you can apply actions like moving posts to a different Space, adding or removing tags, changing the published time, or even deleting posts.

If the post-type of the selected posts is not supported in the destination Space, those posts do not move to the new Space. Once the action is completed, a banner message will appear indicating how many selected posts failed to move.

Now, let's dive into some popular use cases:

  1. Effortlessly organize posts: Imagine you have multiple 'Question' posts scattered across different spaces, making it difficult for members to find and engage. With Post Bulk Actions, you can easily relocate all these posts into a unified 'Questions' space.

  2. Swift content moderation: As your community grows, managing content becomes increasingly important. If there is a member whose posts need to be hidden for reasons of moderation, you can now do this in a few clicks, making the process smoother and faster.

  3. Tagging made easy: Organizing a virtual event and want to tag all relevant posts with 'Virtual Event 2023'? Post Bulk Actions can help you add tags in bulk, improving post visibility and searchability.

  4. Timely post updates: Suppose you have a series of posts from a past event that you'd like to freshen up with a new publish date. This feature allows you to change the publish time for all these posts simultaneously, keeping your content relevant and updated.

  5. Secured post removal: Need to delete outdated or irrelevant posts? This feature ensures a safe deletion process in bulk. Just note that you must confirm the exact number of posts you want to delete (this will reduce accidental deletions).

What’s next?

In the near future, we will be working on an advanced “Post Conversion” feature that enables admins to move posts with different post-types.

We're excited to hear your thoughts on this update!
