The 9 best brand advocacy software tools in 2026 (and the foundation they all need)

Nine brand advocacy tools verified live in August 2026, grouped by the job you're hiring for: community foundations, customer evidence, program orchestration, Salesforce-native references, and champion tracking.

Before Bettermode I spent years at one of the largest customer advocacy platforms around, watching hundreds of B2B companies buy advocacy software. The pattern that separated the programs that printed money from the ones that died in a spreadsheet was never the tool. It was whether the company had somewhere advocates actually wanted to show up, and whether anyone could see advocacy's impact in the CRM.

So this list is grouped by the job you're hiring for, because “advocacy software” is really four different products wearing one label. Every vendor below was verified live in August 2026: current positioning, what it genuinely does best, and pricing model. Where a claim comes from users, it's linked.

One disclosure up front: Bettermode is where I work, so discount that entry accordingly.

First, decide which advocacy job you're hiring for

  • If advocates need a place to gather and be recognized, you're buying a community platform. That's the foundation everything else multiplies.
  • If you need proof at scale (verified quotes, stats, case studies, references), you're buying a customer evidence tool.
  • If you need program orchestration (campaigns, rewards, the advocate lifecycle), you're buying an advocacy management platform.
  • If reference operations inside Salesforce is the job, you're buying a CRM-native reference tool.
  • If the question is “who are our champions and where do they go next,” you're buying champion tracking.

The foundation: a community where advocates live

1. Bettermode

Bettermode community platform page with gamification and enterprise features

The uncomfortable truth I learned inside the advocacy category: standalone advocacy tools bolted onto companies with no community produce challenge fatigue and gift-card mercenaries. Advocacy compounds where customers already help each other and get recognized for it, which is what a customer community platform is for.

Bettermode's advocacy mechanics are native: gamification, badges, leaderboards, and member spotlights sit on the same profile as a member's answers and event RSVPs, and the whole thing connects to HubSpot, Zendesk, Intercom, and Jira so advocacy shows up where revenue teams live. IBM's team credits the automated reputation system for surfacing their most engaged members, and companies like Lenovo, HubSpot, and Webflow run communities on it. Community-driven marketing is the specific advocacy angle. Pricing is public on the site, which is rarer than it should be in this category.

The rest of this list is who I'd pair with it or what I'd pick for narrower jobs.

Customer evidence and proof

2. UserEvidence

UserEvidence platform showing advocacy engagements like review campaigns

UserEvidence's pitch is customer proof buyers actually trust: every stat and quote carries a verification link, so your “93% of customers see ROI in 90 days” claim holds up when a skeptical buyer clicks it. It also matches reference customers to deals by industry and use case, and manages advocate fatigue so the same three customers don't get asked for everything. Quote-only pricing. Rated 4.8 on G2 across 63 reviews.

3. Deeto

Deeto customer orchestration platform homepage

Deeto has widened from advocacy into what it calls customer orchestration: collecting testimonials and case studies with reward automation, then surfacing the right proof inside live GTM workflows (Gong, Slack, Salesforce integrations). Strong pick if your bottleneck is getting proof into sellers' hands at the moment they need it. Quote-only. 4.8 on G2 across 21 reviews.

Advocacy program orchestration

4. Base

Base (base.ai) AI engagement platform for customer-led growth

Base (base.ai, formerly Crowdvocate) has grown from advocacy management into an AI engagement platform for the whole post-sale journey. For advocacy specifically: automated campaigns and rewards, advocate identification, and AI reference matching against active deals. If you want advocacy inside a broader customer-led growth motion rather than a standalone program, this is the shape of tool to buy. Quote-only. 4.4 on G2 across 56 reviews.

5. SlapFive

SlapFive customer marketing and advocacy system of record

SlapFive positions as the system of record for customer marketing and advocacy, and the reference-operations automation is the standout: request, fulfillment, approval, and scheduling in one workflow. One G2 reviewer at RingCentral credits it with saving around 20 hours a week on reference scheduling alone. It also ties advocacy activity to deals for revenue-influence reporting, with a dedicated Salesforce app. Quote-only.

6. Influitive

Influitive customer advocacy platform with gamified challenges

The category's original gamified-advocacy platform: challenges, points, and rewards driving referrals, references, and reviews, plus a digital community tier. It's now owned by Jigsaw Interactive after a 2023 acquisition, and the product remains available with the deepest review base in the category (4.4 on G2 across nearly 400 reviews). Worth evaluating with the ownership change in mind; ask directly about roadmap and support. Quote-only.

Salesforce-native reference management

7. ReferenceEdge (Point of Reference)

ReferenceEdge Salesforce-native customer advocacy technology

If your advocacy program is really a reference program and your company lives in Salesforce, ReferenceEdge is the purpose-built answer: advocate data, matching, and fulfillment natively inside SFDC with self-serve access for sales, plus reference-fatigue tracking. Its new AI layer even exposes advocacy data to AI assistants via API. Quote-only. Rated 4.6 on G2 across 50 reviews.

8. Orca (Cortez Labs)

Orca agentic revenue orchestration for advocacy in Salesforce

Also Salesforce-native, recently repositioned around agentic revenue orchestration: its Echo product detects advocacy signals across CRM and call recordings, then flags, invites, and matches advocates automatically. Early on the review-count curve, so lean on a hands-on trial rather than social proof. Quote-only.

Champion tracking

9. Champion

Champion platform for identifying customer champions

Champion answers a different question: who are our champions, how engaged are they, and where do they go next? It scores contacts to surface engaged users, matches references by deal context, and monitors job changes so a champion landing at a new company triggers a warm play. If pipeline from champion job changes is the outcome you want, nothing else on this list does this as directly. Quote-only (no public pricing). Too new for a meaningful review base.

How to choose (four questions that cut through demos)

  1. Where will advocates actually show up? B2B customers log into a community attached to your product; they don't install another app for your marketing team. Foundation first, layer second.
  2. Does advocacy reach your CRM? Teams whose community data connects to a CRM rate their programs successful at nearly twice the rate of those without (CMX Community Industry Report, 2026). Unprovable programs get cut.
  3. Ask every vendor to show, live, how they'd report “advocates influenced $X this quarter.” Watch for the awkward pause.
  4. Check the recognition loop. Rewards buy activity; recognition builds identity. Only 38% of community teams run advocacy programs at all (CMX, 2026), and member evangelism is slipping industry-wide, so the bar for standing out is low.

FAQ

What is brand advocacy software? Software that helps companies find, activate, and measure customers who promote them: communities where advocates gather, evidence tools that capture verified proof, orchestration platforms that run campaigns and rewards, and reference tools that connect happy customers to open deals.

Do I need a community platform or an advocacy tool? Usually the community first. Advocacy tools multiply an engaged customer base; they can't create one. If customers already gather somewhere you own, a dedicated advocacy layer (UserEvidence, Base, or SlapFive, depending on the job) adds proof capture and program automation on top.

How much does brand advocacy software cost? Almost the entire category is quote-only: of the nine tools here, only Bettermode publishes pricing. Budget for the program, not just the license; the practitioner rule of thumb is that tooling is the smallest line item next to the people running it.

How do you measure brand advocacy ROI? Tie advocate activity to revenue objects: references attached to closed deals, advocate-influenced renewals and expansions, review and referral volume, and support deflection from advocate answers. The common thread across every tool on this list that proves ROI is CRM connection.

TL;DR

  • Advocacy software is four different products wearing one label: community foundations, evidence tools, program orchestration, and reference management. Pick by job, not by category page.
  • The foundation matters most: advocacy tools multiply a living community and can't substitute for one. Bettermode is my (biased, disclosed) pick for that layer.
  • For verified customer proof: UserEvidence (4.8 on G2). For proof inside GTM workflows: Deeto.
  • For program orchestration: Base for advocacy inside a post-sale OS, SlapFive for reference operations, Influitive for gamified campaigns (now Jigsaw-owned, still the deepest review base).
  • Salesforce-native reference work: ReferenceEdge, with Orca as the agentic newcomer. Champion tracking and job-change plays: Champion.
  • Nearly everything is quote-only; only Bettermode publishes pricing. Whatever you buy, wire it to the CRM: connected programs prove value at nearly twice the rate (CMX, 2026).
